Last week was one of the hardest I've had in a long time. Everyday something blew up (wasn't little things either) in my face or happened. Not only was that an issue but I had mass amounts of outside work. I'm not one of those people that thrive from stress and push themselves harder. With stress my health plummets and I become worthless. But....I got over things/worked themselves out and I continued my shadow work for my show in Spring
Nothing Is ever easy a second time as I soon found out. The first time (last term) I made a shadow I had some difficulties but once I got it going it went smoothly. Now for some reason I can't seem to get the background separate from the figure. Not only that but I'm having issues getting the model to look right as in joints, bones, etc.......... I will figure this out it will just be time. For now I'm working on a female shadow. I will have a more masculine shadow person and feminine one. For now...I'm stuck at this point but continued work will overcome it.
THINGS TO THINK ABOUT AND SOLVE
- I will have two shadows. (two computers, two kinects and two projectors hanging from the ceiling) One feminine and masculine to build a connection between the viewer and the shadow person.
- Issue: Finding two computers to borrow/use for a month and setting them up to be compatible with my program and kinect
- Find a possible programmer (if not...I will cry myself to sleep every night)
- When the shadows start moving on their own without the viewer doing it make sure it seems like it's supposed to do that. Rather than the program is having a hiccup or breaking.
- Use Max Studio 5 for the median between the shadows and the kinect. (or some other coding/programming tool) (Any programmers?)
- This show will show present capacity of what this technology can do but not solely be about it.
- Will hide computers, cords, kinect, etc.
